The Academy of Self Defense teaches real-world self-defense and fitness classes to men, women, and children.

    • We provide our students with the necessary tools to deal with any kind of potentially dangerous situation on the street. From verbal de-escalation to lethal force they must be able to make the correct decision in any given situation. Academy of Self Defense utilizes the latest and most innovative techniques available today.

    Designed by a team of fitness and defensive tactics experts known for training fighters, soldiers and law enforcement officers, our programs teach practical self-defense tactics for real-world situations. At the Academy of Self Defense we offer exciting and empowering fitness training for everyone.

    We have an exceptional variety of Reality-Based Self-Defense training programs and fighting systems to choose from or that our students can integrate together, including; the Israeli Fighting System Krav Maga, Blauer Tactical’s PDRä and S.P.E.A.Rä Systems, the Non-Deadly Force System of CDTâ and the Philippine Martial Art of Inayan Escrima.

    The Academy of Self Defense is also a proud member of the Street Tough World Alliance (STWA), which is dedicated to promoting world class stand-up fighting, self-preservation skills and MMA training.

    For our younger students we teach the Traditional Martial Art of Hosinsul and the Know & Goä and Bully Safeä Child Safety & Awareness programs.

    Our Facility

    The state-of-the-art school facility is over 5,000 square feet with a large training area; separate changing rooms, and student/parent viewing areas with ample seating. There is also a dedicated fighter's area, our "Fairtex" room with over 10 different types of training bags filled with brand new equipment; multiple 7 ft Pole Bags, 6 ft Banana Bags, Body Bags, Maxi Bags, Double End Bags, Upper Cut/Hook Boxes, timers, etc. We have a full supply of training bags, pads and equipment for our students to train with; XL BOBS, Thai Pads, Thai Kick Shields, Belly Pads, Medicine Balls, Krav Tombstones, Kicksheilds, focus mitts, stretching machines, etc.
